An influential Asian manufacturer, Samsung Electronics Co Ltd, uses Google Inc's Android software to create smart phones and tablets that closely resemble the iPhone and the iPad. Samsung starts gaining market share, hurting Apple Inc's margins and stock price and intimidating its reign as the king of cool in consumer electronics.
 A series of recent court rulings suggests that the smart phone patent wars are now grinding toward a stalemate, with Apple incapable to show that its sales have been critically damaged when rivals, notably Samsung, imitated its products. Samsung, meanwhile, has benefited hugely from the market insight it gained from the Apple relationship, and from producing smart phones and tablets that closely look like Apple's.

Vertu chooses Luxury Android has £7,000 price tag



Luxury Smart phone producer Vertu has launched its first Android operated handset. The Vertu Ti costs 7,900 euro and is made at the firm's headquarters in Church Crookham, Hampshire. The device had a titanium frame and sapphire screen but was not 4G-enabled, supposed its designer Hutch Hutchison. Until last year the business was owned by Nokia and specialized in highly priced handsets intended for the Symbian operating system.
Each device is assembled by hand. The name and signature of the person who assembled the phone is laser inscribed onto the inside lid of the SIM card possessor. Vertu handsets can only be purchased in 500 retail outlets, 70 of which are the company's own boutiques in the world. Some experts believe the wider marketplace is moving towards lower end smart phones. Huawei has just launched a budget Windows device in Africa and there are rumours of a cheap version of the iPhone 5.

Apple: Brazilian iPhone Vrademark Verdict

Brazilian regulators have ruled that Apple does not have private rights to use the iPhone trademark in the country. Still though the US tech giant has previously lodged an appeal against the decision with the Brazilian regulators. The ruling is the result of a local group, Gradiente Eletronica, registering the name in 2000, seven years before the US firm. Apple can persist to sell iPhone-branded handsets in Brazil.
But the conclusion means that Gradiente has a choice of suing for exclusivity in South America's biggest market. The Institute of Industrial Property supposed that its decision only applied to handsets, and that the California-based company continued to have exclusive rights to use the iPhone name elsewhere including on clothing, in software and across publications.

Face book: Under attack by complicated hackers



Face book has discovered it was the target of a complicated attack by hackers last month, but found no proof any user data had been compromised. The US-based social network supposed that the assault occurred when human resources visited a mobile developer website that was compromised. In last month, Face book security discovered that our systems had been targeted in a sophisticated attack.
Face book suggests, in a blog post that it was not the only company to have been attacked in this way. The assault happened when a handful of employees visited a mobile developer website that was compromised. It is clear that others were attacked and infiltrated lately as well. As one of the first companies to find out this malware, we immediately took steps to start sharing details about the infiltration with the other companies and entities that were affected.

EU watchdogs may turn against Google over privacy policy

According to French privacy regulator CNIL, EU watchdogs plan to take action against Google by this summer over the web giant's existing privacy policy. Last October, the firm was agreed four months to amend its policy. But Google supposed its procedures did fulfill with EU law. The new policy was implemented after the company united 60 separate privacy policies into one agreement.
The firm should offer a centralized opt-out tool and allow users to make a decision which of Google's services provided facts about them. Google should acclimatize its own tools so that it could limit data use to authorized purposes. For example, it should be able to use a person's collated data to improve security efforts but not to target endorsement.

Sony’s Announcement in New York: Play Station 4

At an occasion in New York, Sony has announced its next generation gaming console the PlayStation 4. Its new hardware is planned to offer superior graphics as well as new social features including the sharing of recorded gameplay clips. It will be successful the PlayStation 3, which went on sale in 2006 and has sold about 75 million units. Sony's next generation device is likely to take on more significance not less.
A successful launch might urge on sales of Sony's new televisions and other consumer electronics, helping turn around its fortunes.The PS4 will ultimately compete against Microsoft's still-to-be-unveiled Xbox 360 successor and Nintendo's Wii U.Sony also confirmed a series of big-name software for the machine including Bungie's upcoming shared-world shooter Destiny, which will include exclusive content for the PS4. The developer's preceding title, Halo, helped drive sales for the rival Xbox platform.

ore. Mozilla: Firefox Smart Phone launch Partners



The not for profit organization behind the Firefox web browser has announced handsets based on its operating system for cell phones. According to Jay Sullivan, vice president of products at Mozilla, Firefox phones are likely to be sold first in the developing planet and Eastern Europe and will be at the cheaper end of the smart phone market.

Mozilla supposed that 18 operators including Deutsche Telekom and Telephonic were signed up. Mozilla described the Firefox OS as an open alternative. The platform is based on the HTML5 web programming language which Mr Sullivan says gave it and benefit over Apple and Android. Developers are busy and don't have time to study a new programming language.
